Automatic Optimization

When you upload images, the system automatically:

  • Converts to WebP - A modern format that loads faster

  • Creates multiple sizes - Different sizes for different uses

  • Preserves quality - Maintains visual quality while reducing file size

You don't need to resize or compress images before uploading.

Alt Text Best Practices

Alt text helps:

  • Screen readers describe images to visually impaired users

  • Search engines understand your images

  • Display a description if images fail to load

Good alt text examples:

  • "Modern kitchen with white cabinets and marble countertops"

  • "Living room interior with grey sofa and wooden coffee table"

  • "Before and after bathroom renovation comparison"

Poor alt text examples:

  • "Image 1"

  • "Photo"

  • "Kitchen"

Tips

  • Name files descriptively before uploading (e.g., "marina-bay-kitchen.jpg")

  • Always add alt text - It's important for accessibility and SEO

  • Upload high-quality originals - The system will optimize them for you

  • Check file size for videos before uploading
