Understanding Status

Status

Saved in the system but NOT visible on your website

Published

Live and visible to all website visitors

When to Use Draft

Save as a draft when:

  • You're still writing the post

  • You need to gather more information or images

  • You want someone else to review it before publishing

  • You're not sure when you want it to go live

When to Publish

Publish when:

  • The post is complete and reviewed

  • All images are added and properly formatted

  • You're ready for visitors to see it

Saving a Draft

  1. Write your blog post content

  2. Make sure Status is set to "Draft" (this is the default)

  3. Click Save

Your work is saved and you can come back to it later.

Publishing a Post

  2. Make sure the content is complete

  3. Change Status to "Published"

  4. Click Save

The post is now live on your website.

Unpublishing a Post

The post is now hidden but not deleted. You can republish it anytime.

Tips

  • Save often - Even as a draft, save your work regularly

  • Draft first - It's safer to write as draft, then publish when ready

  • Review before publishing - Once published, visitors can see it immediately

  • You can edit published posts - If you spot an error, just edit and save again
