Organizing with Folders

Keep your media library tidy by organizing files into folders.

Why Use Folders?

  • Find files faster - Know exactly where to look

  • Stay organized - Keep related images together

  • Work efficiently - Less scrolling through hundreds of files

Creating a Folder

  1. Go to Media in the left sidebar

  2. Click the Create Folder button (or folder icon)

  3. Enter a name for your folder

  4. Click Save or press Enter

Moving Files to Folders

When Uploading New Files

  1. Navigate to the folder first

  2. Then click Create New to upload

  3. The file will be saved in that folder

Moving Existing Files

  1. Open the file you want to move

  2. Look for the folder/location field

  3. Select the destination folder

  4. Click Save

Suggested Folder Structure

Here's a recommended way to organize your media:

  • Click a folder name to open it and see its contents

  • Use breadcrumb links at the top to go back to parent folders

  • Click "All Media" or the root to see everything

Tips

  • Create folders before bulk uploading - It's easier to upload directly into the right place

  • Use clear, descriptive names - Future you will thank present you

  • Don't over-organize - 5-10 main folders is usually enough

  • Be consistent - Stick to your naming convention
